Unheard
Don’t call it a day; say something.
Have you ever felt like you’re unheard or your feelings aren’t noticed? Most days, you usually just toss away those thoughts as if it didn’t put any affect on you. I do the same most days as well. “Just say you’re okay and call it a day.” This very quote is one I say to myself most of the time when I do feel any type of negative emotion, whether it’s anxiety, depression settling in, or even nerves about that one Algebra test next period. It starts to get better – having people who truly support and love you just for you. Sooner or later, you and I will also be able to just say we are okay and truly mean it. You are never alone. Someone is out there listening to every thought, even someone who is going through the same. You are heard.

The entire topic of depression is hard to tackle. You know that something’s wrong, but what would happen if you share your problems with someone only to be hurt even more? Art pieces like these help give others insight on mental health, allowing room for assistance and awareness.

I love your art style! And I agree with the quote, someday things will get better and we will be okay.

I’m fine, don’t worry about me, I’m okay….why tell people your problems when you can just say things like that? I really like this art because it’s so RELATABLE, I’d say it makes people feel less alone knowing other people also feel this way.

Yes absolutely. Sometimes I feel that way everyday. Mainly because I overthink things and I’m always on my toes about everything. But it does feel nice sometimes when I tell myself to control my emotions and just say okay.

First off, the art is amazing! And second off, I really do agree with you! We just have to keep our heads up and that it’s okay to not be okay!

I like the way this discussion talks to the reader and me as a character helping me better understand the author. it makes me feel more in touch with the meaning of the writing.
